I am delighted to come across Amy Houghton’s work again. I love the idea of the typewriter and the slow erasure through typing.. mimicking what happens when ‘capturing’ memory, where something gets hammered out, that was once held ‘inside’. I find this artist’s use of animation/movement/performance activating the physicality of visually seductive objects always strikes interesting dialogues.
